Keeping Up With Our Alumni

POST DISPATCH ALL-DECADE DEFENSE TEAM: Two Lutheran North football players were named to the Post-Dispatch All-Decade Defense Team! Congratulations to Ronnie Perkins, LN '18, and Antonio Doyle, LN '20. Ronnie now plays for the University of Oklahoma, and Antonio will attend Texas A&M in the fall. Both Crusaders were chosen as the All-Metro Defensive Player of the Year while competing for Lutheran North.

JAMMIN' WITH JEANNE: Former teacher, Jeanne VonDerAhe, gave a "Jammin' with Jeanne" piano concert for her neighbors in Little Rock, Arkansas. She had flags marking every six feet in her yard, so neighbors could stay socially distant while enjoying her God-given talent. What a great way to serve the community!
ALUMNI NAMED ALL-DECADE: Congratulations to Jack Buford, LN '19, for being named to the Post-Dispatch's All-Decade Offensive Team. Buford, an offensive lineman, now plays for the University of Missouri.

Additionally, Anthony Virdure, LN '13, was recognized on the All-Decade Team for his performance as a wide receiver for the Crusaders. Virdure went on to play basketball for Lincoln University. Read More >>

PROVIDING LUNCHES THANKS TO YOUR SUPPORT: Yolanda Neal-Shaw, LN '89, is the owner of Healthy Soul Catering. This spring, her catering company was able to provide 800 lunches for an inner-city school called Northside Community with the financial support of LN alumni.

The First Class of Jr. Crusaders
Lutheran North graduated its first class of 8th graders this year! With 18 students and their families, a ceremony was held at sunset in the football stadium. CJ Pasley, LN ‘11, was the Commencement speaker.

More than 65% of the class is continuing on to Lutheran North for high school. To document this milestone in Lutheran North history, the class filled a time capsule to be opened in ten years.
