Overview

Home of the Crusaders

Lutheran North has become known as one of the top small school athletic programs in Missouri. Our Crusader teams are members of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) and are governed by its constitution and by-laws.

Lutheran North is a member of the Metro Athletic League, which includes the girls' and boys' teams.  The Metro Athletic League includes Lutheran South, John Burroughs, Westminster, Principia, MICDS and Priory. In addition to league play, our student-athletes and teams compete against other St. Louis metro area private and public schools and have opportunities to participate in both conference and state postseason competitions.

At Lutheran North, we emphasize the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and character. Our student-athletes in grades 6-12th grades are encouraged to be leaders both on and off the field, and to use their athletic abilities to serve their community. We believe that athletics provide a unique opportunity for students to learn important life lessons, and we strive to create an environment where they can do so.

Our Athletes

During the school year we field 30 teams in 13 sports. Our teams play in more than 400 contests during the year. We promote the values of participation, sportsmanship, teamwork and personal excellence in our student athletes, summarized in our Athletic Core Values.

Many of our student-athletes choose to compete in two or even three sports. In our small school environment, they are supported by their coaches and teammates as they develop skills and excel. For additional athletics information please contact LN Athletic Director, James Mitchell at jmitchell@lncrusaders.org.
