The Coordinator of Annual Giving at Lutheran South High School will report to the Director of Advancement and is responsible for planning and implementing all elements of the annual giving program. This is a full-time position with regular school business hours. Primary responsibilities and relationships with other people in the institution are outlined below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop overall short and long-range plans for annual giving, set goals and objectives in line with the multi-year advancement plans, and manage the budget for all annual giving activities.
Create all the component parts relating to annual giving and supervise the implementation and distribution of such plans and materials.
Maintain a portfolio of no less than 100 leadership annual gift prospects.
Organize and manage all aspects and segments of annual giving including: phonathons, direct mail, online giving, giving days, digital solicitation, and personal visits.
Lead the development of a communications plan that creates awareness of the annual giving program with the institution’s various constituencies.
Recruit, oversee and motivate all volunteers and their activities as they relate to annual giving, and maintain timely communication with those volunteers.
Manage annual stewardship correspondence with constituents and oversee acknowledgment of gifts.
Manage a reporting system to provide analysis of the effectiveness of the program on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Organize volunteers and volunteer groups to assist with the annual giving solicitations.
Develop relationships with individual alumni for identification and cultivation purposes.
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
Experience in working with donors within an educational context preferred
Graduate of Lutheran South preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace
Proven success in an outcomes-oriented environment
Effective in working with many details in a multitask, multi-site environment
Ability to demonstrate the understanding of cultural differences and cultural adjustment necessary to work effectively with diverse populations
Excellent communication, organizational, and motivational skills
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including weeknights and weekends
