Kevin Juan Ballentine graduated from Lutheran High School North in 1980. His academic path began at Simmons Elementary and Turner Middle Schools. During this time, he enjoyed playing with an undefeated Royal Knights football team that continues to holds the record for continuous wins. As a stellar all-around athlete, Kevin also enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and running track.
Following his 8th grade graduation, Kevin came to Lutheran North, taking his ‘fight for success’ mentality to another level. At LN he would become a leader both on and off the field, leading the Crusaders to championship victories while being a dedicated student and Christian representative as well - a triple threat that would prove to be the strength of his success.
After high school, he attended Missouri Southern University in Joplin on an athletic scholarship. There, he was able to enjoy his football playing days at the next level while continuing his academics. He later graduated from the University of Missouri, St. Louis with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.
Kevin was a devoted father and son whose love and support were a daily inspiration to his family. He could be counted on to be there in person or spirit on every occasion.
Kevin was excellent in connecting with people. His charming personality, irrepressible wit, friendly smile, attention to detail and easy way with others made him a natural in his 30-year career in sales and development.
Kevin was a Christian man and attributed every victory and blessing to his faith in God. Few graduates have earned the love and respect of his friends and family as Kevin Ballentine (affectionately referred to as KB).
Lutheran North, in honor of Kevin Ballentine and with the enthusiastic cooperation from friends and family, are proud to announce the establishment of the KB Scholar Fund. Every year a student or students will be named the KB Scholar(s) of the year.
Please consider supporting Kevin, his family and friends, and Lutheran North in helping other young men and women in their own personal ‘fight for success’ by contributing to the KB Scholar Fund.
