Aubrey Parker Named 2020 Crusader Scholar Athlete

Every year since 1966, the St. Louis Post Dispatch has honored one student from each area high school that excels both in the classroom and on the athletic fields. To qualify, the student-athlete must be in the top 25% of the class and have excelled in at least one varsity sport. The winner of this award is honored with a picture and biography in the St. Louis Post Dispatch (May 16) and during an on-field ceremony at Busch Stadium prior to a Cardinals' game (TBD).

Lutheran North's winner of the award this year is Aubrey Parker. Aubrey has excelled in the classroom with a 3.71 GPA and has excelled in athletics, being named as First Team All Metro League in football the last two years and serving as a Captain on this year's State Champion football team. He was recognized by the Missouri Football Coaches Association as a First Team All State DB in 2019 and was honored as Academic All State for each of the past two seasons. He was also recognized by the St. Louis Post Dispatch as a First Team All Metro Defensive Back.

Aubrey also participated in Track & Field at Lutheran North as sprinter in the open sprints and sprint relays. As a junior, he placed 2nd in the 200 and 2nd in the 4x100 and was expected to be a key contributor on this year's track team prior to the season being canceled.

Aubrey will attend Brown University and play football there. We wish him well and pray for God's continued blessings on his academic and athletic endeavors.
