Three Crusaders Join 1,000 Points Club

Over the course of the 2018-2019 basketball season, three Crusaders have surpassed the 1,000 point mark in their careers.  Prior to this season, there have only been seven players to surpass the 1,000 point mark in the history of Lutheran North Girls Basketball dating back to the 1974 season.  Three of the 1,000 point scorers occurred in the 1980s, two in the 1990s, and one in the early 2000s.

The current team members have not only accomplished individual statistical feats but more importantly, have been major contributors to their team's success over the past four years.  In the past 4 seasons, girls basketball has achieved a record of 80 wins and 26 losses.  As sophomores, these most recent additions to the 1,000 point club led our team to the best finish in school history (3rd place).

Upon completion of this season, our girls basketball team will have achieved the highest number of wins for a 4-year span in school history.

The three additions to the 1,000 point club include:

# 25 Jordyn White – Jordyn scored her 1,000th point against Lutheran St. Charles on 11/30/2018.  Jordyn has also established herself as one of the premier defenders in the area.  Jordyn is the 8th Lutheran North player to join the 1,000 point club.

# 2 Maddie Buford – Maddie scored her 1000th point against Strafford on 12/21/2018.  Maddie has assumed the responsibility of primary ballhandler this year and is also the leading rebounder on the team.  Maddie is the 9th player to join the 1,000 point club.

#5 Kaylynn Hayden – KK scored her 1000th point against John Burroughs on 1/26/2019.  KK is a great all-around player and is a very strong leader on the team.  KK is the 10th player and most recent player to join the 1,000 point club.
