Campus and Alumni News:
HOMECOMING: Join us Friday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m. for our Homecoming Football Game. This year the Crusaders will take on the Rams from MICDS under the lights on LaMothe Memorial Field. Don’t forget to stop by the Alumni Tent and grab a refreshment, an alumni t-shirt, and rally towel. A special invitation has been extended to all former teachers as well. All alumni are invited for a school tour at 5:30 p.m. with Dr. Brackman. Meet in the Crusader Cafe. Can’t wait to see you there!

KYLE WAGNER, NORTH'S NEW FOOTBALL COACH: Lutheran North is proud to welcome back Kyle Wagner as its new head football coach. Wagner was North’s offensive coordinator when the Crusaders won the 2019 State Championship. He was the defensive coordinator for North’s 2017 and 2018 state semifinal appearances. He left North to accept a head coaching position at Ritenour and then Sikeston, but is happy to be back at home with the Crusaders.
“I’m thankful to take over one of the most prestigious and sought-after jobs in Missouri,” Wagner said. “I know Lutheran North and have deep relationships here and look forward to creating more."
Wagner, a Kirkwood high school standout, played football at Westminster College, where he received all-conference honors as a defensive back. He was a defensive backs coach at CBC, making state final and semifinal appearances in 2015 and 2016.
Wagner is in his 11th year of coaching. He has had more than 20 former players earn spots on collegiate rosters and will continue Lutheran North's reputation as scholarship high.
"You can still go anywhere from here," he said.

NEW ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, JAMES MITCHELL, LN '12:
We are thrilled to announce James Mitchell as Lutheran North's new Athletic Director. Mr. Mitchell, a graduate of Concordia University Wisconsin, has served at our middle school for the past three years as an administrator, teacher, and coach. We're confident in this new role, in addition to his continued teaching, he will continue to help equip students athletically, academically, and spiritually.

SIGNING WITH THE PATRIOTS: Ronnie Perkins, LN '18, officially signed his contract with the New England Patriots! Perkins was selected by the Patriots in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 253-pound linebacker played for the University of Oklahoma, finishing his college career with 99 total tackles, 16 ½ sacks, and two forced fumbles. He earned three Big 12 championship rings.

LEAPING TO SUCCESS: Jordyn White, LN '19, broke the school record in the long jump at Trinity University and took 8th in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina. The sophomore was awarded the South Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

RACHEL SEILER RELEASES NEW SINGLE: Rachel Seiler, LN '13, has recently released her second single as a Christian Artist and first music/lyric video for her latest single, “Not Done Yet”. You can support Rachel by following her on social media @rachelseilermusic. You can watch her video at https://youtu.be/Gzq2SjsBNa4

Thanks to your generosity, our first-ever Lutheran North Giving Week (May 10-14) was a success! We surpassed our goal and raised $45,511. With a Challenge Grant match, more than $70,000 was donated! Thank you for helping us to continue to be a school of choice where students achieve, believe, and belong every day.
If you were unable to give and still would like to, please donate here.
