Graduation Requirements

Class of 2018 graduates were offered over $8.3 million in scholarships and grants. The class accepted $2 million of the offered scholarships and grants to attend colleges and universities across the country.

Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate, our students are expected to be good stewards of their time and talents. In addition to completing required credits, students are required to:

  • earn a minimum of 25 credits, plus the required theology credits, for a total of 27 credits
  • maintain a satisfactory attendance record
  • attend high school 8 full semesters
  • give evidence of Christian conduct and attitude
  • complete 100 “Saved to Serve” service project hours
  • meet all financial obligations
  • pass the US Constitution test while in grades 9-12
  • pass the MO Constitution test while in grades 9-12

Required Credits

Every student graduating from LHSN must take those courses prescribed by the Lutheran High School Associaton and the State of Missouri. They include:

  • 4.0 Language Arts credits
  • 3.0 Social Science credits (including American History)
  • 3.0 Science credits
  • 3.0 Mathematics credits (Algebra I and above)
  • 1.0 Fine Arts credit
  • 0.5 Practical Arts credit (Business Education or Family & Consumer Science Departments)
  • 0.5 Personal Finance
  • 0.5 Health credit
  • 1.5 Physical Education credits
  • 0.5 Theology credit for each year in atendance
  • 8.0 Elective credits
